Accounts Receivable Clerk

Position Summary

Compiles, processes, and maintains accounts receivable records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepares customer invoices across multiple brands and/or companies in the contract currency for that given order in accordance with company practices; submits invoices to customer.
  • Retrieves bank reports and use remittance advise reports to prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
  • Maintains collection status report regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
  • Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Credit Manager and other staff to bring to resolve.
  • Collaborates with the Credit Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic (at least bimonthly) basis.
  • Special projects as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; JD Edwards experience is preferred
  • Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education

Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university; or a minimum of 5 year(s) related experience and/or training.

Travel

Travel is not required.
