Inventory Analyst

Position Summary

The primary objective of Inventory Analyst is to ensure that inventory is regularly being examined to promote inventory accuracy. Cycle counts are done daily to keep inventory updated, as well as proper inventory transactions being done on a regular basis to achieve overall accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Maintains inventory accuracy through continuous cycle counts and accurate inventory transactions.
• Examines excess and obsolete list to scrap inventory that is no longer needed.
• Demonstrates extensive knowledge of JD Edwards with respect for inventory control, shop floor control, and customer orders or equivalent warehouse management system (WMS).
• Manage inventory issues to meet demands of customer and shop floor.
• Perform liaison work with other departments (Purchasing, Production, Scheduling, Engineering) to obtain services or pertinent information relative to functional needs.

Education

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in inventory

Skills/Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience in an inventory related role.
• Experience with JD Edwards (or similar MRP system) and Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience in manufacturing environment and logistics a plus.
• Ability and certification to drive a forklift and order picker.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with good communication skills.
• Ability to manage a work queue and tasks with a high level of independence.

Ability to read and understand drawings and work instructions a plus.
