JDE Programmer Analyst-Techno-Functional

Position Summary

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and be proficient programming in Oracle's JD Edwards (JDE) EnterpriseOne (E1) ERP. In addition to the technical skills required, the position requires business savvy and customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Requirements gathering, design and coding/implementation of JDE E1 solutions
• Support and development within JDE-supporting applications, including BI-Publisher and DSI
• Conduct detailed system analysis & create application design specifications
• Programming and technical support using E1 development toolset
• Team mentoring & training
• Employing new, as well as tested and proven technologies to develop technical solutions to meet business requirements
• Developing internal client/user relationships that foster better understanding of the business needs
• Process Improvement and leveraging best practices
• Serve as a project manager when assigned. Conduct team meetings and effectively communicate project status to stakeholders
• Executes unit and systems test plans, verifying and documenting the results
• Provides systems documentation for job streams, programs and systems flow
• Coordinates post implementation review of a project
• Assists in the development of training plans and documentation for end users

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education

Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university or related experience and a minimum of 7 years related experience and/or training.

Skills/Experience

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures.

Other Skills and Abilities

• 7+ years developing/implementing IT Solutions
• 5+ years hands-on JDE EnterpriseOne/OneWorld programming experience
• Experience programming in systems complimentary to JDE, such as DSI and BI-Publisher
• JDE functional knowledge in Manufacturing and Sales
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• A high degree of organizational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to produce to an established schedule
• Ability to work as needed outside of traditional business hours
• Proven experience "taking the lead" to ensure project completion
• Proven technical aptitude and solid understanding of programming concepts
• Experience leading/managing medium-sized projects
• Track record of successfully utilizing technology to automate business processes
• Up to 15% travel may be required - both domestic and international
• Must possess a valid driver's license in state of residence and be insurable under company's motor vehicle insurance policy
