Machine Shop Cleaning Technician

A machine shop cleaning technician plays a vital role in maintaining the sanitation and
organization of an industrial work environment. This helps to ensure the safety and
efficiency of our workplace. We're currently seeking a hardworking and self-motivated
individual to fill this position.

Responsibilities:
*Clean machinery, workbenches, and floors by removing metal shavings, excess coolant,
and machinery oils.
*Safely dispose of waste materials.
*Clean and organize shop tools, work-holding equipment, and lifting equipment.
*Assist with maintenance of machine tools and associated equipment.
*Visually inspect machinery and shop equipment to help identify potential problems while
performing cleaning duties.
*Help support shipping and receiving department.
*Adhere to safety procedures.

Qualifications:
*High school diploma or equivalent.
*Must have strong verbal communication skills
*Experience working in an industrial environment.
*Must be self-motivated.
*Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
*Must be able to work in a variety of positions including but not limited to standing,
stretching, bending, kneeling, and laying.

Preferred Qualifications:
*Experience working in a machine/fabrication shop.
*Experience using overhead cranes.
*Forklift certification
*Experience using hand tools such as angle grinders, die grinders, and saws.
