Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician will own the maintenance process for the facility. Primary responsibilities include maintenance of industrial equipment including preventive maintenance, unexpected repairs and general building maintenance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision in a safe manner.
  • Prioritize tasks based on plant needs with the ability to change direction as needed
  • Maintain a strong sense of urgency during unplanned outages and repairs.
  • Must have Industrial mechanical & electrical experience
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and mechanical issue in equipment.
  • Knowledge of PLC's and DC Drives
  • Recommend changes and improvement to the existing equipment in order to improve reliability, accuracy, or further optimize process.
  • Operation of various size forklift trucks & aerial man lift.
  • Preventative Maintenance - Inspect assigned buildings, sites, and structures to detect needed repairs and preventative maintenance needs, making notes and recommendations.
  • Reporting & Recordkeeping - Complete any maintenance paperwork and mileage logs, turn in any/all receipts for materials.
  • Candidate must be flexible to work beyond normal shift with short notice and may be required to change shift periodically as production needs arise.
  • Support inventorying and management of spare parts.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Journey level of experience in electrical and/or mechanical trades
• Experience with single & three phase electrical systems
• Experience repair of CNC equipment
• Use of basic computer skills - Excel, Word & Outlook.
• Compressed air and hydraulic experience
• Motor / Drive installation experience
• Basic Welding
• Building & Grounds maintenance experience
