Strategic Sourcing Manager

Position Summary

Responsible for identifying, qualifying, and negotiating with new and existing supply sources to maximize on time delivery, product availability, and financial performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage RFQ projects from start to finish including identification of commodities for bid, gathering and maintaining all required documentation, and managing the transition from former to new suppliers when applicable.
• Identify and eliminate or minimize supply risks through dual sourcing, strategic raw material "spot" purchases, and contractual agreements to solidify availability of critical materials.
• Maintain proper Current Unit Cost and lead times for purchased items within JD Edwards.
• Oversee supplier scorecards, contract compliance, and chargebacks.
• Lead/participate in quarterly business reviews with key suppliers.
• Develops, communicates, and enforces quality standards in conjunction with Quality Department.
• Willingness to visit supplier sites (up to 25% travel)
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent experience required.

Required Skills/Experience

• 5-7 years related experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent business related field.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• International sourcing
• Contract manufacturing oversight
• JD Edwards ERP system
