Technical Support Engineer

Position Summary: Mainly responsible for technical support to internal sales team and external customer/business partner on application and service in after market, also support localization program.

Duties and Responsibilities on Pre-Sales Support -50%

  • Work closely with sales team to understand customer's technical requirements/needs and enhance their comprehension of product application.
  • Provide technical support to EPC, DI, Customer and Reseller, and the internal sales team, parts team on product application field research & case study for typical customer.
  • Focus on product application field research & case study for typical customer.
  • Participate in the marketing events, exhibition, and industry seminars, collect and analyses up-to-date information from the market.
  • Keep up to date in relation to an competitors' product performance, product & market development.
  • Provide input (editing, translation & verification) into technical and marketing material.
  • Visit key customers in conjunction with the sales teams to provide in depth product knowledge. This will include developing direct customer relationships with key clients and helping the aftermarket teams to troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Crushing Pant Design related work, such as flowsheet, layout, equipment selection, operation cost analysis. Providing proposal on the design (Process and Layout) if large scale/complicated plant. Providing technical support on the customer's plant design and construction after sales including check and comment customer's design drawings.
  • Technical documentation preparing, such as Project Proposal, Bidding document, Equipment/Process Presentation, Competition Analysis/Comparison, etc.
  • Create and present high-level technical presentations to customers.

Duties and Responsibilities on After Sales Support 40%

  • Supervise the open cases in SF on technical support till closure to give quick response to internal sales team and external customer/DI/business partner.
  • Regular visit installed customer with proposal on maintenance, parts recommendation and site technical support on equipment running.
  • Deliver online technical support and troubleshooting, repairing, maintenance, installation, commissioning, etc. in customer site.
  • Review and propose fast moving parts list for external customer and safe stock for warehouse internally.

Duties and Responsibilities on Localization Support - 10%

  • Support technical specs alignment between HQ engineering and local suppliers on drawing, material heat treatment process, etc. to complete the sampling, testing and acceptance for procedures.

Education Requested: Bachelor's degree in Mechanic manufacture or related majors

Skills/Experience Requested:

  • Minimum 3 years related application engineer and service engineer experience in MNC equipment manufacturing focus on heavy machinery, mining equipment, material handing equipment, etc.
  • Hands on experience in troubleshooting would be plus.
  • Strong communication with customer language to build and maintain relationship with technical engineer/supervisor from customer.
  • Be familiar with Mining, Energy and Chemical industrial customers
  • Expert user for AutoCAD etc. to able to convert the drawings form Europe and America in Chinese with international unit.
  • Excellent language skills, both written and spoken in English, at least written
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated working attitude expected
  • Proactive teamwork spirit
